Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Team Five ("we", "us") collects through teamfive.dev (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in two ways:
- Information you provide directly. When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, and the message you write. This is the only form on the public site that collects personal information.
- Information collected automatically.Your theme preference (Light or Dark) is saved in your browser's local storage so it persists between visits, and your cookie consent choice (see Section 3) is saved in a cookie for the same reason. Both values stay on your device — neither is transmitted to our servers or linked to you personally.
We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies on the public site. If that changes in the future, those cookies will only be set for visitors who accept them via the cookie banner described below.
2. How we use your information
We use the information collected through the contact form to:
- Respond to your inquiry and correspond with you about it;
- Evaluate and scope potential projects you've described;
- Maintain an internal record of inbound business inquiries.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
When you first visit the Site, a cookie consent card lets you choose which of the following categories apply to you. We recognize four categories:
- Necessary (always active). The admin panel (accessible only to Team Five staff at
/admin) uses short-lived session cookies from our own sign-in system to keep an authenticated user signed in. We also set acookie_consentcookie (kept for about six months) to remember your choice for the other three categories, so you aren't asked again on every visit. Neither of these cookies is used to track visitors, and neither can be turned off — they're what keep the Site and admin panel working. - Analytics. Would help us understand how visitors use the Site, if we ever add analytics tooling. Off by default.
- Advertisement. Would measure the effectiveness of any future marketing campaigns. Off by default.
- Functionality. Would remember preferences beyond your theme and this consent choice, if we add any. Off by default.
We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies anywhere on the Site — none of the three optional categories above are wired up to anything yet. If that changes, the relevant cookies will only be set for visitors who've switched that category on, whether via "Accept"/"Accept All" or by turning on that specific category and choosing "Save Settings."
You can review or change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page.
4. Third-party service providers
We use the following third-party providers to operate the Site. Each processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security practices:
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage. Contact form submissions are stored in a Supabase-hosted Postgres database.
- Vercel — hosts and serves the Site itself (application hosting and content delivery).
We do not use these providers' data for any purpose beyond operating the Site as described in this policy.
5. Data retention
We retain contact form submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and follow up on your inquiry, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If we haven't heard back from you and an inquiry is no longer active, we periodically remove old submissions.
6. Your rights
Regardless of where you're located, you can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your information from our systems.
To make a request, email us at contact@teamfive.dev. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe, generally within 30 days.
7. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for business inquiries and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site or our practices change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
