K53 OMS — Stock Exchange Order Management System

A multi-role order and trade management system connected live to the Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges.
The challenge
K53 needed an order and trade management system capable of operating at the standard a live stock exchange connection demands — not a general-purpose admin panel adapted for finance, but a system built for the operational reality of connecting directly to the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE). That meant handling multiple distinct roles — administrators, brokers, and end users — each with a fundamentally different view of the same order flow, on infrastructure that could isolate a failure in one part of the system from taking down the rest.
Our approach
We built K53 OMS on a microservices architecture specifically so that order execution, back-office reconciliation, and user-facing account management could scale, fail, and deploy independently of one another — a slow back-office reporting job shouldn't be able to degrade live order placement. Role-based access is foundational to the system rather than a permissions layer added afterward: administrators, brokers, and individual users each get a distinct, scoped view of exactly the functionality and data their role requires, enforced at the service layer, not just hidden in the UI. The platform covers both sides of the business a brokerage actually runs — back-office operations (settlement, reconciliation, reporting) and front-office order management (placing, modifying, and tracking trades) — connected live to both the DSE and CSE, built to the operational standards a real exchange connection requires.
The outcome
K53 OMS gave the client a genuine trade and order management platform rather than a patched-together set of spreadsheets and manual reconciliation — multi-role by design, connected live to both exchanges, and built on infrastructure that can scale each part of the system independently as trading volume grows. Given the nature of the system, this project runs as an internal, confidential platform rather than a public-facing product — access is restricted to K53's own admins, brokers, and users.
